Ordering an ebook
This site provides access to printed books (via the bookseller of your choice) or directly to digital books (ebooks) available for download after purchase.
What is a download?
Downloading consists of the transmission and reproduction on a backup medium (hard disk, USB key, etc...) belonging to the customer, of a digital file representing the work they have purchased.
How to read your ebook?
The files to be downloaded are offered in several different formats (PDF, ePub) and each of these formats has specific navigation functionalities (hypertext, zoom possibilities, text search, personal annotations,...). They can be read by different types of terminals (laptop, PDA, smartphones, e-readers, etc.) either natively or after installation of an application specific to this format (for example Acrobat Reader for the PDF format or Adobe Digital Edition software for the ePub format.
Availability of ebooks
Items are normally accessible by the customer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round. However, the administrator of this site reserves the right to temporarily close access without notice.
They cannot be held responsible for technical problems independent of their service, such as connection problems due to Internet service providers or computer problems due to the customer's hardware or software.
How do I download my ebook?
As soon as the order has been paid for, the customer can download their digital books by going to « My account » under « My downloads ».
If the customer loses their file, they can at any time re-download their digital book by going to « My account » under « My downloads ».
A few important notes:
- Some mail readers such as Outlook tend to truncate Internet links in e-mails. In this case, copy and paste the complete URL directly into the address bar of your browser.
- Before starting the download, make sure that you have Adobe Reader installed to retrieve and read the file, and that this software works on your computer.
- The download time will vary depending on the size of the file (indicated at the time of download) and the speed of your Internet access.
- It is preferable to save the file directly to your hard disk when you download it, and to open it at a later time (Internet browsers can be configured to offer a choice; it is also possible to do this by clicking on the "Download..." button with the right mouse button and choosing "Save link target as..."). If the file opens directly in the internet browser, it is recommended to save it first to your hard disk in a safe place.
After your purchase
Les achats de livres numériques sont fermes et définitifs. Ils ne pourront donc donner lieu à aucun échange, remboursement ou droit de rétractation.
However, if, despite the care taken by the publisher in preparing the digital books, a clear defect in the file prevents the reading of the purchased book, the reader may return the defective file and benefit from a new corrected file free of charge by contacting the after-sales service.
Format and media compatibility
Downloading your digital book:All our ebooks can be downloaded and read via a reading application. Download is available on computers, tablets and telephones.
Online reading of your digital book:Online reading is available for some ebooks (in ePub format) with all types of devices (computers, tablets and telephones). Online reading requires only an internet connection.
